STEP 1 : Confirm your contact information
- Login to your control panel with your new username and password
- Click "Personal Details"
- Complete or correct your information. Pay special attention to your email address. Click Save.
- Click 'Back"
STEP 2 : Register your first domain name
Once you've confirmed your personal details you can go ahead and register a new domain name (or transfer an existing one). You must make sure your domain name is actually available before you try to register it. You can check to see if a domain is available at the top of this page. Simply type a domain name in the box and click the 'Check' button. (example: google.com) If the domain is available you will see "No match for 'GOOGLE.COM'".
If it is already registered you will see an expiration date, and you will have to try another domain name.
- Once you've confirmed your domain name is available, click 'Domain Registrations'
- Click 'Add New'
- Select 'Register' or 'Transfer', click 'Next'
- Type the first part of your domain (the part before the dot) then select your extension (the part after the dot) from the pull-down menu; double-check your spelling. Click Save.
STEP 3 : Make a payment
You must make a payment before your account is activated. Nothing will function until you make your first payment. You will receive a full credit for the cost the domain you registered because your first domain* is always free
- Click"Billing"
- Click"Make Payment"
That's it!
Once you've set up your first domain name and made your payment it's just a matter of waiting for your new info to spread across the global Internet. In approx 12-48 hours you will be able to login to your FTP server and upload your website files, and people will be able to visit your domain on the Web. You'll be sending and receiving email in no time. All the settings you'll need to configure your various Internet programs can be found in your Control Panel. Below is a list of server addresses you'll need to use your services.
